David is the Co-Founder of Executive Benefits Network and a 32-year veteran of the financial services industry. David began his career in the insurance industry in 1986. David specializes his career in the design, funding and securing and administration of Nonqualified deferred compensation plans and Bank Owned and Corporate Owned Life Insurance programs. In addition, he focuses on business succession, life insurance and financial planning. He is a frequent national speaker as an expert in Nonqualified Executive Benefit Plans and Bank Owned Life Insurance Programs.
David is the Chairman of The American College Foundation, member of the AALU Nonqualified Plan Committee, Trustee of the Village of River Hills, board member of the Milwaukee Country Club and Past-President of the Milwaukee Winter Club Youth Hockey Organization. He is a member of the Indiana Bankers Association, Wisconsin Bankers Association, Bank Holding Company Association, the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the MDRT Association’s Court of the Table.
David is married to Molly and has six children. He is an alumnus of Williams College of Massachusetts where he specialized in History and Finance.
Patrick J. Marget is a J.D., CPA, CFP® and CLU®. He is a Co-Owner and Managing Director of Executive Benefits Network in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Pat worked for three years as a senior accountant in audit for KPMG in the bank service area. He worked five years as an attorney for Michael Best & Friedrich LLP where he concentrated his practice in general corporate and securities law. Pat is a 17-year veteran of the financial services industry. Pat’s career focus is in the BOLI/COLI marketplace, as well as working with private and public companies and its executives. His work is centered around designing creative strategies for executive compensation planning, business succession planning, and estate planning for high net worth individuals. He is a frequent speaker at various industry meetings and seminars.
Pat is a shareholder and Director of a bank in Iowa. He is also an active member in the State Bar of Wisconsin and a member of the MDRT Assocation. He is a frequent speaker of various industry meetings and seminars. Pat lives in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin with his wife Jill and three children.
Shannon is responsible for the post-sale servicing and administration of Executive Benefits Network’s Bank-Owned Life Insurance (BOLI) clientele. Shannon holds her state insurance licenses and is Series 6 and 63 registered.
Shannon received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She lives in Menomonee Falls, WI with her husband and values spending time with her family and friends. Shannon also loves animals and enjoys relaxing with her pets.
Lisa specializes in the implementation of all BOLI cases at Executive Benefits Network. She offers thirteen years of experience in the insurance and securities industry in addition to sixteen years in the medical field as a Certified Medical Assistant. Lisa holds her state insurance license and her Series 6 and 63 securities licenses. She serves as a consultant for BOLI case design and oversees the process of communication with clients and insurance carriers to initiate and complete insurance underwriting and policy placement. Over the course of her years with Executive Benefits Network, she has been involved in every aspect of the business working closely with David Fritz, Managing Partner.
Lisa is involved with developmental and educational programs and has been a guest speaker for various seminars at Northwestern Mutual. She is Past President of the Greater Milwaukee Medical Assistants. She lives with her husband and pets in the Town of Lisbon, WI and enjoys numerous outdoor activities, travel and time spent with family and friends.
Antonio is responsible for providing planning analysis to executives and business owners, specifically in the areas of retirement and estate planning. He is also well versed in running life, disability, annuity, and long term care insurance illustrations. Antonio brings with him knowledge of the corporate and bank markets.
Antonio holds the Wisconsin Life as well as the Wisconsin Accident and Health licenses. He also holds the Series 6 and 63 securities licenses. He also obtained the following designations from the Life Office Management Association, Inc.: Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI); Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance (AIRC); Asociate, Customer Service (ACS); Associate, Insurance Agency Administration (AIAA); Associate, Financial Services Institute (AFSI); and Associate, Reinsurance Administration (ARA).
Antonio earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications from Marquette University and earned his Certificate of Project Management from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee.
Sunaina’s primary responsibility is the management of all Executive Benefit Plans including: plan implementation, annual re-enrollments, plan analysis, plan redesign and policy maintenance and service. She also handles client servicing of individuals. Sunaina graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing. She offers thirteen years of client servicing/relationship building experience.
Sunaina resides in Oak Creek, Wisconsin and enjoys strength training, living a healthy lifestyle, spending time with her family and friends, and camping and traveling with her boyfriend. Her passion for fitness and health continue into blog posts and motivating through social media. She also enjoys cheering on the Badgers during football season and the March Madness Tournament. Having roots in Wisconsin she is a loyal Packers and Brewers fan as well.
Amy’s primary responsibility is to provide administrative and marketing support to Patrick J. Marget, J.D., CPA, CFP®, CLU® and Lindsey M. Bessy, ALMI, CLTC, MBA, CLU®, CASL®. Amy also manages Patrick Marget’s calendar and assists with case servicing.
Amy received her Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Iowa State University and played volleyball there all 4 years. She received her Master’s degree in Nutrition from Boston University. Previously, she was an administrator for SMASH Volleyball Club in Boston, MA and before that she was the assistant volleyball coach at College of the Holy Cross. Amy enjoys playing volleyball and being active in her spare time. Good food and cute dogs are two things Amy can’t live without!
Liz’s responsibilities include providing administrative and marketing support to R. David Fritz, Jr. CLU. She also handles the firm wide marketing including design of firm materials, event coordination, strategic planning, scheduling and website maintenance. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing with an Emphasis in Direct and Internet Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Liz lives in Milwaukee with her husband, daughter and goldendoodle. She enjoys being active, spending time with friends and family and exploring new places.
Joe B. Jones
Principal, Executive Benefits Network
Joe is a twenty seven year veteran of the financial services industry. He spent twelve years associated with the Todd Organization of St. Louis, LLC. He co-founded Executive Benefits Network in 2001 with David Fritz. He has published several articles on Bank Owned Life Insurance that have appeared in the American Banker, Bank News, and Bankers Online. Joe has appeared as a guest instructor for numerous organizations including Securities Institute Association, Robert W. Baird, Stifel Nicolaus, Northwestern Mutual, Mass Mutual, Kansas University Law School, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School. He is a specialist in the areas of tax planning with life insurance. He is a member of the Estate and Business Strategies group and a Financial Representative of Northwestern Mutual. He frequently speaks on the design of corporate owned life insurance for balance sheet enhancement to Fortune 1000 companies.
Joe is a graduate of Baker University and the Kansas State Captain of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters. He is a member of the Society of Financial Services, Kansas University Alumni, and St. Johns Parish. He lives in Lawrence, Kansas with his wife Nancy. He has three children Nicole, Abby, and Cody.
Steven J. Terbovich, MBA, CLU, ChFC
Steven is a twenty-two year veteran of the financial services industry. He spent eighteen years in the banking industry as a senior officer and board member of several banks in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area. While in banking, he served as Chairman of the Board The Greater Kansas City Clearing House and the President of the local chapter of the Bank Administration Institute. He left banking seven years ago to join the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He joined Executive Benefits Network as a senior analyst for bank profitability strategies and liaison to the Federal Reserve.
He graduated from Pittsburg State University in 1969 with a degree in Chemistry and Math. He also completed his MBA at Central Missouri State University in 1973. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Kansas City Kansas Chamber of Commerce. He has served as Chairman of the Board of the Wyandotte County Chapter of the American Red Cross and a Board Member of the Greater Kansas City YMCA.
Steven lives in Lake Quivira, Kansas with his wife and daughter Mindy. He is currently working with many banks, bankers, large trusts, and corporate officers with their planning needs.
John M. Charnes, Ph.D, MBA
John is a consultant to Executive Benefits Network and a professor in the Finance, Economics, and Decision Sciences Area in the University of Kansas School of Business. John has taught courses in risk analysis, statistics, operations, quality management, and finance in the business schools of the University of Miami (Florida), University of Washington (Seattle), University of Minnesota (Minneapolis), and Hamline University (St. Paul).
He has published papers on risk analysis, statistics, and other topics in American Banker, Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, Financial Analysts Journal, The American Statistician, Management Science, Decision Sciences, Computers and Operation Research, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Journal of Business Logistics, and Proceedings of the Winter Simulation Conference. He has performed research, consulting, and executive education for more than fifty corporations and other organizations in Kansas, Missouri, Washington, Minnesota, and Florida.
John holds the Ph.D. (1989), MBA (1983), and Bachelor of Civil Engineering (1980) degrees from the University of Minnesota. Before earning his doctorate, he worked as a surveyor, draftsman, field engineer, and quality-control engineer on numerous construction projects in Minnesota, Iowa, and Maryland. He is past President of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) College on Simulation, and has served as Program Chair and Proceedings Editor the Winter Simulation Conference.
Robert A. Schehrer, CPA
Robert obtained his accounting education from Washburn University of Topeka, Kansas and Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri. He met the requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant in 1968.
Robert began his accounting career as a staff accountant and later became the senior partner of Schehrer, Bennett, & Lowenthal where he practiced public accounting for thirty three years. He served many clients by providing them with services in accounting, auditing and taxation. His client base included several in the banking industry where he provided help to these clients with taxation issues, income tax return preparation and compliance auditing to meet the requirements of state regulatory authority.
Robert served on the Board of Directors of Lawrence Savings Association and the Advisory Board of Columbia Savings/ First Financial Savings. He also provides a select group of clients with tax planning and financial services. He is a member of the American Institute and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Nancy A. Jones
Nancy specializes in helping bank client’s structure executive disability and long term care programs. Her experience and service in this specialty has helped many banks to retain top quality executive talent. Nancy helps to communicate and monitor the value of these benefits with on site meetings and seminars. Her focus is the Midwest Community banks in Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado.
Jake T. Stoetzner, J.D.
Director of Operations
Jake offers a diverse combination of legal and financial knowledge to find innovative solutions for banks, corporations and individuals. Jake concentrates on estate and tax issues that challenge successful businesses and executives, in addition to designing and implementing successful benefit strategies.
Prior to joining Executive Benefits Network, Jake worked as an attorney for The State of Michigan, focusing on complex civil and criminal matters. He earned his law degree, summa cum laude, from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He is currently admitted to practice in Kansas, Missouri and Texas. Jake earned his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from The University of Tulsa, where he played football for the Golden Hurricane for four years.
He currently lives in Lawrence, KS with his wife, Dr. Kelli Henderson, and their two boys, Cooper and Parker.
Director of Client Services
Nicole has been with Executive Benefits Network for six years. She specializes in the implementation of bank owned life insurance programs. She provides all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to Executive Benefits Network bank clients. Nicole is responsible for all onsite enrollments and client questions. She is a graduate of Kansas University. She is a team leader for youth programs at St. John’s Catholic Church.
She lives in Lawrence, Kansas with her husband, Brandon.
Ty brings a unique perspective to Executive Benefits Network as a 38 year veteran of the banking industry. He started his banking career in Arizona before moving back to his hometown of Montezuma, Kansas to continue the success of his family-owned Montezuma State Bank. He was the fourth generation to run the bank, serving as President & CEO for 27 years. He joined EBN in 2014 as a Marketing Specialist. He focuses on helping banks in the Midwest to retain and reward their top executives.
Ty attended Kansas State University and Arizona State University. He is a former member of the Bank Management Committee with the Kansas Bankers Association, and also a former member of the Membership/Marketing Committee with the Community Bankers Association of Kansas. He is an avid golfer, serving as the Golf Chairman of the Dodge City Country Club. Ty resides in Wichita, Kansas and has two children.
